Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef, cut into large cubes
    1 onion, sliced
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    6 carrots
    6 small potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 c. or more tomato juice
Preparation
    Layer in order.
    Sprinkle tapioca over all.
    Add tomato juice. Cover tightly and bake for 4 hours at 250\u00b0.
    Do not open lid until finished baking.
