Favorite Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
1/2 lb. ground round
onion, chopped
chopped green pepper
1 tsp. oregano leaf and/or sweet basil
2 Tbsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 Tbsp. brown sugar or less (adjust to your taste)
salt and pepper to taste
2 to 3 large cans tomato sauce (can also add Italian tomato sauce if desired)
1 to 2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation

Brown meat in oil with onion and green pepper.
Drain off any grease (can use all Italian sausage if desired).
Add seasonings and cook briefly until it flavors the meat.
Add tomato sauce (adjust to own desired thickness, rinse cans with little water and add to sauce).
When heated through and boiling, add brown sugar to taste.
Adjust seasonings if necessary.
Cook on low for 1 to 2 hours.
Serve over spaghetti or use as sauce for lasagna.
Freezes well.
