Mexican Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. boneless beef, cubed
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) can whole green chiles, drained
    1/2 c. beef broth
    1/2 c. chicken broth
    2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    3 to 4 potatoes, sliced
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion in bacon drippings in Dutch oven.
    Add next 7 ingredients; bring to boil.
    Cover and reduce heat.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Add potatoes, cover and simmer 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
