Granola - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
    1 c. wheat germ
    1 c. coconut (optional)
    1/2 c. brown sugar or honey
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. almonds, ground
    1/2 c. pecans, ground
Preparation
    Mix ingredients thoroughly, and bake in shallow pans at 275\u00b0 until coconut is lightly browned--approximately 1 hour. Add diced dates in quantity desired and store in refrigerator.
