Fried Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 heaping Tbsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
Preparation

Mix all together.
A cast-iron skillet works best.
Add some oil to lightly cover bottom.
Get hot. Drop 1 tablespoon of batter in three areas of skillet.
Will cook like pancakes.
When bubbles form and edges turn brown, flip with a spatula.
Brown on that side.
Take up.
Add more oil for next three cornbread. Continue until done.
Makes about 21 circles.
