Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
    1/2 lb. smoked ham, diced
    1/4 c. flour
    3 scallions, chopped
    1 small green pepper
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 bay leaf
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    3 c. chicken broth
    1 c. diced, cooked chicken
    2 c. raw long grain rice
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 lb. raw shrimp
Preparation
    In
    a
    large saucepan, melt margarine and saute sausage and ham until lightly browned.\tStir in flour.\tAdd scallions, green pepper
    and
    garlic and saute until vegetables are soft. Stir
    in tomatoes,
    bay
    leaf, thyme, pepper, broth, chicken, rice and shrimp.
    The liquid in the pot should just cover the contents. Bring to a boil, lower heat until simmering.
    Cover the pot
    and cook
    until
    all
    liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
    Season with salt;\tremove bay leaf and serve.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
