Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. real butter
1 c. cooking oil
4 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients, beat well.
Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well again.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly with a fork (dip the fork in ice water to keep from sticking).
Sprinkle with sugar or decorate with half pecan (optional).
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 7 dozen.
