Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. dried prunes
    1/3 c. melted shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 3/4 c. pastry flour
    1/2 c. prune juice
    1 tsp. soda
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Soak prunes as usual and cut to raisin size.
    Cover with boiling water and cook until tender.
