Icebox Cheese Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. grated sharp cheese
    1/4 lb. butter, creamed
    cayenne pepper (as desired)
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream together cheese, butter, salt and pepper.
    Add flour. Make into roll.
    Wrap in waxed paper and put in refrigerator. Will keep a month.
    When needed, slice into thin wafers and bake in moderate oven, 300\u00b0.
    A pecan half on each wafer is decorative. Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
