Homemade Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 lb. apples
    2 lb. lean beef, cooked
    1 lb. suet
    3 lb. raisins
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. dark brown sugar
    2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1 c. orange juice
    1 c. sliced citron
    2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. ground cloves
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. vinegar
    3 c. water
    pastry for pie
Preparation
    Pare and core apples; grind with beef and suet.
    Add remaining ingredients, except pastry.
    Cook, covered, in a large kettle over medium-low heat for 30 minutes.
    Uncover; cook until desired thickness, approximately 1 hour.
