Chinese Almond Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. oleo (part butter)
    2/3 c. white sugar
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 egg yolk (save white)
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 Tbsp. white vinegar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. almonds, chopped and toasted
Preparation
    Mix first 7 ingredients well.
    Blend in flour mixture and almonds.
    Shape into 1-inch balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a glass; brush with slightly beaten egg white.
    Place an almond half on each cookie, pressing in slightly.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
