Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/8 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (5 oz.) can chopped clams with liquid
    1 can New England style clam chowder
    1 can cream of potato soup
    1 1/3 c. milk
    1 small can evaporated milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    bit of grated carrot (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter; add onion and grated carrot (optional) and cook until tender.
    Stir in remaining ingredients and heat until good and hot.
    Do not boil.
    Stir to prevent scorching and sticking.
