Marinara Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    4 c. crushed fresh tomatoes or 2 large cans tomatoes
    1 small can tomato paste
    basil to taste
    pinch of red pepper
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
    Heat olive oil; add onion and garlic.
    Do not burn.
    Add tomatoes and cook slowly for about 10 minutes.
    Add tomato paste and cook gently for about 25 minutes.
    Add basil to taste and pinch of red pepper.
    Excellent for meatless meals.
