Italian Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. rump or boneless chuck roast
    2 Tbsp. sweet basil
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 or 2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1 1/2 to 2 c. water
    1 or 2 bay leaves
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
    6 garlic buds
Preparation
    Mix spices in water.
    Pour over meat.
    Cook in covered pan for 3 hours at 325\u00b0.
    Cool in liquid.
    When chilled, slice very thin.
