Linda'S Chicken And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 pieces dark chicken
    1 onion (whole)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 3/4 c. rice
Preparation
    Boil chicken in a pot with water, onion, salt and pepper until chicken is tender. Remove chicken and onion from broth, saving broth. Debone chicken. Put chicken meat and 4 cups of the chicken broth in a pot and bring to a boil. Add rice. Stir until it starts to boil. Turn down heat and cover with a tight lid. Keep covered for 20 minutes. Do not lift the lid.
