*Favorite Apple Pie - cooking recipe

3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
6 c. thinly sliced apples
1/4 c. cream
3 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Prepare pastry for a double crust pie.
On a lightly floured board, roll out half to a 12-inch round.
Fit into a 9-inch pie plate.
Trim overhang to 1/2-inch.
Mix granulated and brown sugars, flour, spices and salt in a small bowl.
Spread about 1/3 of the apples into prepared pastry shell.
Sprinkle with 1/3 of the sugar and spice mixture.
Repeat layering 2 more times.
