Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 2/3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 jar commercial red raspberry preserves or jam
Preparation

Thoroughly cream the shortening and sugars.
Add egg yolks, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
Chill dough 1 hour.
