Pear Honey - cooking recipe

8 c. ground pears
2 c. crushed pineapple
6 c. sugar
1 lemon, sliced paper thin
Preparation

Use firm unripe pears.
Peel and core; using coarse blade, grind pears.
Combine pears and sugar; cook mixture until pears are clear, about 35 minutes.
Add the undrained pineapple, then cook a few minutes longer.
Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
