Chicken Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small stewing chicken
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 onion, chopped
    4 c. okra, sliced and chopped
    2 c. tomato pulp
    few sprigs parsley, chopped
    4 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    After chicken is cleaned and dressed, cut it into serving portions.
    Flour lightly and saute in butter along with chopped onions.
    When chicken is nicely browned, add okra, tomatoes, parsley and water.
    Cook very slowly until chicken is tender and okra well cooked, 2 1/2 hours.
    Add water as required during the slow cooking process.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    If thin soup is preferred, increase the amount of water.
