Slow-Cook Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef chuck
    3 carrots
    3 medium onions
    3 stalks celery
    2 to 3 large potatoes
    3/4 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    3/4 c. Burgundy or red cooking wine
    4 dashes of Worcestershire
    3 dashes of garlic powder
Preparation
    Cut beef into 1 1/2-inch pieces; arrange in greased 5-quart casserole with lid.
    Cut carrots, celery and potatoes in bite-size pieces.
    Layer over beef.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper, sugar and tapioca.
    Pour tomato sauce, tomatoes and wine over top.
    Bake covered at 275\u00b0 for 6 hours.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
