Clinton Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. sugar
    12 oz. chocolate chips
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 c. oats
    1 c. light brown sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Beat together shortening, sugars and vanilla until creamy.
    Add eggs, beating until light and fluffy.
    Gradually beat in flour mixture and oats.
    Stir in chocolate chips.
    Drop batter by well rounded teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before placing on wire rack. Makes 7 1/2 dozen cookies.
