Fried Potato Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium potatoes, peeled and shredded
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/8 tsp. red pepper
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Squeeze potatoes between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
    Combine all ingredients, except vegetable oil, stirring well.
    Drop 1/4 cup of potato mixture at a time into 1/8-inch hot oil; press into 3-inch rounds with the back of a fork.
    Fry until golden brown, turning once.
    Drain well.
    Yield: 6 servings.
