Ready Whenever Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. All-Bran
1 c. boiling water
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
Preparation

Pour boiling water over bran and let stand 15 minutes.
Sift flour, soda and salt.
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and cream until fluffy.
Stir in bran.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk.
Fill well-greased tins 2/3 full and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen.
Mixture will keep 2 or 3 weeks in covered container in refrigerator.
Do not stir.
