Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bacon ends and pieces, cut fine
    1 medium onion, diced
    5 c. boiling water
    salt to taste
    6 large potatoes, diced
    1 large can corn
    1 can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Lightly saute bacon and onions in Dutch oven or heavy skillet; drain off fat.
    Add boiling water, salt and potatoes; bring to rolling boil.
    Simmer until potatoes are done.
    Add corn and milk; heat thoroughly.
