Ingredients

3 c. light brown sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 pt. buttermilk
4 tsp. soda
8 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream sugar and Crisco
together.
Combine
buttermilk and soda. Add alternately with flour.
Roll thick
and
cut out.
Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
Brush with beaten egg or decorate as desired.
