Cream Coconut Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk (cold)
1 1/2 c. scalded milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shredded coconut
3 egg whites
Preparation

Blend sugar and flour with cold milk.
Add to scalded milk, stirring constantly.
Cook over low heat until thickened.
Add beaten egg yolks.
Stir thoroughly.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and coconut.
Cool.
Pour into baked pastry crust.
Cover with meringue.
