Kidney Bean Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry kidney beans
1 can tomato paste (small)
1 can tomato sauce (small)
3 onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small green pepper, chopped
3 Tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. thyme
4 c. water
pinch of sugar (optional)
Preparation

Wash and soak beans overnight.
In a medium size pot, add 4 cups water, oil, onion, garlic and salt.
Mix in a bowl the tomato paste, tomato sauce and 1/2 cup water until smooth.
Add to other ingredients that are in pot and cook under flame, about 1 1/2 hours, until beans are tender.
Cut up green pepper and thyme.
Let simmer in the pot.
Add a pinch of sugar, if desired.
When done, serve over rice.
