Buttercream Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. (1 lb.) unsifted powdered sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. (2/3 stick) soft butter or margarine
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl.
    Beat until smooth and creamy.
    (If too stiff to spread easily, add a few drops more milk).
    Makes about 2 cups of frosting.
    Frosts tops and sides of two 8 or 9-inch layers.
