Apple Cheese Crumble - cooking recipe

6 c. peeled, sliced apples
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. butter or oleo
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (old)

Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Butter an 8-inch glass baking dish.
Mix apples, lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar lightly and spread in baking dish. Sift flour, 3/4 cup sugar, salt and cinnamon together in bowl.
Add butter and blend first with fork, then with fingers to make crumbly mixture.
Mix in cheese and sprinkle over apples. Bake about 40 minutes until apples are tender.
Serve warm with cream.
