Dutch Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon
    1 small onion, sliced
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 hard-boiled egg, chopped
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Remove from skillet.
    Add onion to 1 tablespoon drippings.
    Cook until tender.
    Blend in cornstarch, salt and mustard.
    Drain beans, reserving 1/2 cup liquid.
    Stir in reserved liquid.
    (Do not add beans yet.)
    Cook and stir constantly until thick and translucent.
    Blend in sugar and vinegar.
    Add beans and heat thoroughly.
    Top with bacon pieces and egg (chopped).
    Makes 4 servings.
