Chess Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (not oleo)
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    3 level Tbsp. flour
    vanilla flavoring
    1/2 c. milk or cream
    1 unbaked pie crust
Preparation
    Cream softened butter and sugar.
    Add beaten egg yolks and flour.
    Add milk and vanilla.
    Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust.
    Cover the edge of the pie crust with foil or it will get too brown.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 until the top of pie is brown, then cover complete pie with foil for 10 minutes.
    Pie should be done in 30 to 40 minutes.
    Cover with meringue.
