Applesauce Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 c. sweetened applesauce
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream together the sugar and shortening in a bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and combine thoroughly. Pour into a 10 x 16-inch jelly roll pan.
