Chess Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    4 egg yolks
    3 level Tbsp. flour
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Reserve 1 tablespoon sugar; sprinkle 1/2 on bottom of unbaked 9-inch pie shell.
    Cream butter and remaining sugar; add egg yolks. Add flour, milk and vanilla gradually.
    Pour into shell and sprinkle top with remaining reserved sugar.
    Bake 10 minutes at 450\u00b0, then 1 hour at 250\u00b0.
