Spaghetti With Clam Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. linguine (or your favorite pasta), cooked according to pkg. directions
    1 bunch broccoli, cut up
    1/2 onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (6 oz.) can clams
    butter or margarine to taste
    basil to taste
    1/2 lb. seafood, such as scallops (optional)
Preparation
    Start cooking the broccoli in a large covered frying pan in a small amount of water.
    When it is half cooked, add the onion and the garlic.
    Cook for a few minutes and add the seafood (if using) and cook slowly, stirring often.
    Add the clams and their juice and the basil.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Drain the pasta and add it to the clam sauce.
    Add butter to taste; mix thoroughly and serve.
