Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef, cut into cubes
    1/4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    2/3 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. rosemary
    1/4 tsp. each black pepper, thyme and oregano
    1/2 c. dry red wine
    1 c. water
    4 medium potatoes, quartered
    4 c. sliced carrots
Preparation
    Coat beef
    with
    flour\tand brown in oil in large Dutch oven. Add
    onion\tand
    garlic
    and
    cook until vegetables are softened. Pour off any fat.
    Add water, wine, celery, parsley and all spices.
    Cover
    and
    simmer 1 hour.
    Add potatoes and carrots and simmer 45 minutes longer.
    Add a little water, if needed.
