Easy Refrigerator Pickles(Good For All Those Surplus Garden Cucumbers) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. sliced cukes
    1 c. sliced onions
    2 c. white vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. pickling salt
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 cloves garlic (optional)
Preparation
    In large saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar and seasoning. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
    Meanwhile, place one clove of garlic in each jar (1 quart); pack cukes and onions into jars.
    Fill jars with hot vinegar mixture.
    Helps to use a funnel and soup ladle.
    Replace lid, then cool in refrigerator for at least 24 hours to blend flavors.
    Stores in refrigerator up to 3 months.
