Cherry Cheese Gelatin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can pitted cherries
    1 pkg. (serves 4) cherry gelatin
    1 1/2 c. crushed ice
    6 oz. softened cream cheese
Preparation
    Drain cherries and set aside syrup.
    Add water to syrup until it amounts to 3/4 cup.
    Place in a small pan.
    Boil on high.
    Pour into blender.
    Add gelatin.
    Cover and mix at low speed (approximately 1/2 minute).
    Add cream cheese and ice.
    Blend at high for approximately 1 minute.
    Pour into mold or dessert bowls. Add cherries, one at a time, to mix.
    Chill until firm, approximately 1 hour.
    Unmold and serve chilled.
