Peanut Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. water
4 c. peanuts
1 c. white Karo syrup
6 drops red food color
1 stick margarine
Preparation

Stir together and bring to a boil the sugar, syrup and water. Add food color and peanuts.
Let mixture cook until it reaches hard ball stage on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and add margarine.
Beat until thick and creamy.
Pour on a buttered cookie sheet.
Let cool and break into pieces.
