Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 green sweet peppers
    8 onions
    8 c. green tomatoes
    11 red sweet peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    8 c. cabbage
    8 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    7 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Chop all vegetables.
    Put the salt over them and mix up.
    Let stand overnight.
    Next day, wash and drain.
    Squeeze all juice out.
    Put in pot.
    Add the remaining ingredients.
    Cook 3 minutes.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
