1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 egg
1 c. molasses
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix altogether well.
Bake in muffin cups at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
