Steak In Pepper Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 tsp. salt
2 (12 oz.) New York strip steaks, trimmed
1 1/2 Tbsp. green peppercorns (in liquid), drained
    2 Tbsp. steak sauce
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. whipping cream
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
Place a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat until hot. Sprinkle salt in skillet.
    Place steaks over salt.
Cook 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until browned.
Remove from skillet. Combine peppercorns, steak sauce and water in hot skillet.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, to loosen browned food particles on bottom of skillet.
Stir in whipping cream and black pepper.
    Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, stirring constantly, 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Add steak. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until desired degree of doneness.
    Yields 4 servings.
