Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can fried onion rings, finely crushed
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs or equivalent egg substitute
4 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. water, mixed with cornstarch (to thicken gravy)
2 (10 oz.) cans canned condensed beef broth
1 c. sour cream
Preparation

Combine onions, salt, pepper, crumbs, paprika, nutmeg and milk.
Add this mixture along with the eggs to the meat.
Mix well and shape into small meatballs.
Brown them in the margarine in a skillet.
Remove meatballs from skillet.
Add consomme to the drippings, then the water and cornstarch mixture to thicken.
Add sour cream and heat.
Add meatballs and heat gently.
Serves 8.
