Hot Green Tomato Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green tomatoes, cut in large chunks
    1 qt. onions, chopped
    1 c. red or green hot peppers
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. canning salt
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Combine vinegar, sugar, salt and black pepper; heat to boiling.
    Add tomatoes, onions and hot peppers to mixture; heat to boiling.
    Remove; fill hot sterilized pint jars with vegetables and liquid, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
    Seal and process in a boiling water bath 15 minutes.
