Heavenly Caramels(Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. heavy cream
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped Diamond walnuts
Preparation
    In 2-quart glass measuring cup with handle, combine sugar, heavy cream, corn syrup and butter.
    Microwave at High for 5 minutes.
    Stir well until sugar dissolves.
    Microwave at High for 12 to 13 minutes or until mixture reaches 246\u00b0.
    Stir in vanilla and walnuts.
    Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.
    Let stand until firm.
    Cut into squares and wrap individually in waxed paper.
    Makes 1 1/4 pounds.
