Sweet Potato Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
    1 1/4 c. warm water
    1 pkg. granulated yeast
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream first 4 ingredients (sugar, shortening, egg and salt). Add potatoes.
    Sprinkle yeast into water and let stand 5 minutes. Add first mixture to yeast and water.
    Knead in flour until mixture is stiff enough to handle.
    Cover and let stand 2 hours.
    Knead again and roll into rolls.
    Let rise again.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 until lightly brown.
