100 Year Old Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. rum extract (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Beat butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add extracts to milk.
Add baking powder to flour.
Alternately add liquid and dry ingredients to batter; stir in walnuts.
Pour batter into a greased and floured tube or flute pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake tests done.
