Tomato Basil Platter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 large ripe tomatoes
    4 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
    1 Tbsp. freshly ground pepper
    12 to 14 large basil leaves
    1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Place slices of tomato alternately with basil leaves on a large platter.
    Whisk together the olive oil and red wine vinegar and pour over the tomatoes.
    Top with freshly ground pepper and salt to taste. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and allow to stand at room temperature about 30 minutes before serving.
    Makes 12 servings.
