Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raw peanuts
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Stir together nuts, sugar, Karo and salt in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cook 7 to 8 minutes, stirring well after 4 minutes. Add butter and vanilla.
    Blend well and cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Add baking soda and stir gently until light and foamy.
    Pour mixture onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Let cool and break into pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
    Makes about 1 pound.
