Spice Cake (Eggless) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. water
2 c. raisins
1 tsp. each cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
3 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
nuts (optional)

Preparation

Mix sugar, shortening, water, raisins, spices and boil for 3 minutes.
Add flour, soda and baking powder, with nuts.
Bake 45 minutes at 300\u00b0 in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
