Strawberry Delight Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    4 rounded Tbsp. cornstarch
    dash of salt
    red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    whipped topping
Preparation
    Wash and stem strawberries.
    If they are large, cut into halves.
    Combine water, sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Cook until thickened.
    Add a few drops of food coloring and vanilla.
    Let cool, then stir berries gently into cornstarch mixture.
    Put whipped topping on top.
